Tips and Tricks Self Paced Instruction and Coaching Series

Why Tips and Tricks?

Are you -
  • Having trouble using some of your Microsoft Windows ® programs?
  • Unable to setup configuration protocols?
  • Uncertain what to do with certain options or settings?
  • Can't afford to pay for help from a consultant?
  • Upset configuration settings and causing system problems?

One of the most common areas of PC based support calls is in the provision of assistance to help end-users setup and configure their new or secondhand  PC's and their software .  Most people rely on a friend or the seller of the computer to enable them to set up their PC's in the most efficient and effective manner, sometimes being charged a fee for the effort!

The seller of the PC with tight profit margins is almost always likely to charge for the effort in many cases thus annoying the end user, or alternatively the salesperson talks in "techno-speak". This is of no use to the home end user in most circumstances as they wonder "what planet the sales person" is from and they become increasingly frustrated with their new purchase!

SO, WHAT's THE SOLUTION?

Now you can buy a simple, but well structured, software coaching tool aimed at various key areas of interest that will show you with real live screenshots and text how to go about simple tasks.  The series is self paced and easy to follow and help is readily at hand with the intuitive interface. Lessons can be scrolled both backwards and forwards at the user's own pace and are set up as topics based on key areas of interest. The Tab sections of the tutorial dialog boxes is also setup to work in the same way that for example Microsoft Windows 98 ® operates so you can follow the steps one at a time, just as if you were making the changes on your PC

How many times have you been asked to assist a friend with the most elementary tasks in setting up the PC?  Encourage them to buy a copy of these inexpensive Tips and Tricks Tutorials. It will last them for the life of their PC and stop them from annoying you!

BUT, WEB BASED COACHING TOOLS ARE FREE!

Web based coaching and tips are available free on the WWW BUT the major problem with most of these is that unless you can quickly select the topic of your choice you are stuck with using search capabilities and then rely heavily on bandwidth and connect time and charges, so you are PAYING anyway for free advice. In many instances you are precluded from printing the details or using the information later on and many coaching tips are purely text based and technically oriented.

What Tips and Tricks are already available in the series?

Windows 98 ® Tips and Tricks

Outlook Express Tips and Tricks was developed to assist novice users who are unfamiliar with Outlook Express (or other e-mail programs). Outlook Express Tips and Tricks guides you through the various steps required to set up e- mail accounts, read and send e-mail messages and use the address book. All the menu options can be refreshed at anytime using back/next keys and the main menu allows you to select at any time which option you need to focus on. Peer to Peer Networking Tips and Tricks  was developed to assist those running a small office (and home users) who are unfamiliar with networks but want the advantages of one. You may find the "help" provided by your local computer sales person less than helpful. They’ll try to sell you equipment and software you don’t need. And they will charge you an arm and a leg to set everything up for you. Peer to Peer Networking Tips and Tricks guides you through the various steps required to select the hardware and software required for a small network and then to actually set up the network for use. It does this by presenting you with real-live screen shots and dialog boxes that guide you through the steps you would have to take.

DOES USING THE TUTORIAL ALTER SYSTEM SETTINGS?

NO!

Using the tutorial (without changing vital system settings) you perform the actual steps in a controlled and coached manner just as if you were aiming to complete the task BUT without making any changes to the system configuration. Once your are comfortable with the steps you have to take, you can then do it for real and with the confidence in knowing YOU did it "without being charged and arm and a leg" for help from a consultant!

All Tips and Tricks tutorials have an intuitive interface; you move through the lessons at your own speed; you can repeat them at any time and you can skip past steps with which you are already familiar.
