Who Are PC Profile, How Long have they been in Business?   We have been designing and developing PC Audit and compliance software in Australia since 1991 and our tools were used extensively in Year 2000 efforts for rapid creation of software inventory. We have sold our audit compliance solutions to well over 3,000 customers across Australia, PNG and NZ, plus more from other sites overseas being added daily, using our software compliance audit modules. We have customers located in England, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, NZ, Canada, Chile, Mexico, USA, Australia.

We have given away thousands more evaluation versions to more sites than we sold software to, that we never were paid for due to our open trust policy of full versions for evaluation. If we had adopted the policy of reporting these sites to claim the rewards for software piracy, based on the facts that we know they used our software for well past the evaluation period end date for their own gain, we would be as rich as Bill Gates by now, well not quite! Our policy of trust and ethical behaviour means that we never tell who our client list is to anyone!

Here are some snapshots of significant achievements;

• Been operating in business continuously since 1991 specialising in Software Compliance management and business advice
• Entered software compliance auditing field in 1992/3 and won Comtec Software IT Product of the Year in 1994 against stiff competition.
• Introduced SA Government personnel to the concept of a pilot Year 2000 and software compliance audit study about 3 years ago!
• Sold auditing software to EDS Australia to enable them to conduct a baseline audit of the Novell fileservers when they won the contract for outsourcing IT in SA.
• Established an agreement with Business Software Association of Australia who included the original AUDIT-Manager software (winner at COMTEC above) in with their Software Compliance and Audit manual.
• Wrote a tailored Strategy Plan for Y2k for Department of Environment Heritage and Aboriginal Affairs in Dec 1997 based on my own copyrighted template approach.
• Provided Year 2000 hardware testing tools and advice to cover an ENTIRE Sth Australian Government agency site widely dispersed across SA. (approx. 10,000 to 12,000 PC's)
• Provided SA Government with significant information through Department of Information & Technology Services (DITS) on Y2K and software compliance auditing over many years.
• Developed and sold desktop Strategy Plan called PC Framework 2000 (for large businesses) and SME Framework 2000 (for SME's) into the following countries and major accounts (Seagate in USA, a major Bank in Ireland, Hutchinson Whampoa Telecomms (Hong Kong) United Arab Emirates (Dubai), France, Germany, Switzerland, England, Australia, NZ and Canada.
• Sold audit and Year 2000 testing software via Internet to clients in countries as follows; England, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, NZ, Canada, Chile, Mexico, USA, Australia.
• Setup this Internet site in April 1998 and achieved 61,000+ visitors to the home page and a total of over 300,000 to the entire web site in the space of just over 24 months! Current total is over 1 million visitors
• Wrote and published articles for around 20 magazines/newsletters and had press articles in over 50 papers/magazines.
• The most recent article was in Business Week in USA on 16th Sept 1998 and this article was un-solicited and well reviewed.
• Presented a Software Compliance and Year 2000 seminar in May 1997 at the NIA headquarters in SA.
• Presented Managing Clouds and Moving Goalposts series in 2003 and 2004
• Developed and delivered workshop seminar series for use by accountants/consultants who wish to startup Y2k activities for their clients. This is a "practical workshop series" not an information session.
• Listed on the SA Central web site as a registered provider of tools and services
• Over 3,000 customers all over the world, generated over 14 years.
• Over 10,000 downloads of information and details from my web site in the last 12 months
• Wrote an article published on Peter deJager's web site titled "Will there ever be a Year 2000 compliant system?"
• Wrote an article published on Y2KLinks web site titled "Illegal Software and Year 2000". This site published the article in 1997 and we had 5.000 hits per week at the site!
• Have distributors appointed in Australia, USA, Zimbabwe, Canada, Sth Africa, NZ, UK with further distributors being considered for Europe, Australia, USA, NZ, UK etc.
• Contracted for a 2 year period for Year 2000 activities in a major Australian defence business for Year 2000 assessments, remediation and contingency planning.
• Developed a series of focused articles and pragmatic self-help advice for organizations to use in-house called the Software Compliance Toolbox
